FAQ

The package in practice

The package is a system of solidarity between beneficiaries, but also a system that makes healthcare more accessible.

  • All MME subscribers, i.e. those who have signed the package subscription contract.
  • The lump-sum payment system is governed by a regulation adopted by the INAMI in 1982.
This is a lump sum per subscriber. Under a contract signed between you, your mutual insurance company and us, the medical center.
Every month, the mutual insurance company pays the medical center a fixed sum per subscriber. This fixed sum is used to cover your medical, nursing and physiotherapy care. It means that together we can take charge of your health.
This amount is independent of the number of contacts between you and the Maison Médicale (whether you have come to the MME for treatment or not). The lump sum is a system of solidarity between beneficiaries, but also a system that makes healthcare accessible to all. Whether you're ill or not, your lump-sum payment reaches the medical center, enabling those who are sicker than you to receive treatment, hence the principle of solidarity.

So you don't pay for every medical consultation, physiotherapy or nursing care, because your mutuelle has done it for you. You pay the medical center via your mutual insurance company and your social security contributions.

The MME will not reimburse you if you consult a doctor, physiotherapist or nurse outside the MME.

Your subscription to the MM is a contract between us, you and your mutual insurance company.

    The WM undertakes to :

    • Provide you with general medical, physiotherapy and nursing care
    • Open and/or continue updating your global medical record.
    • Help you take charge of your health in general (screening, vaccinations, etc.).
    • You offer to take part in health promotion activities

    You agree to

    • To be in mutual order
    • Treat yourself exclusively at the medical centre for general medicine, physiotherapy and nursing care.
    • Notify us of any administrative changes concerning you

    Your mutual is committed to

    • Pay a fixed monthly fee to the medical center for general medical, physiotherapy and nursing care.

What's not included in the package

    • Consultations with specialists and dentists, psychologists, speech therapists, laboratory tests, hospitalizations and medication are not part of the lump-sum system; they must be paid for and are normally reimbursed by your mutual insurance company.
  • To register at the Maison Médicale, you must live in Jette and be in good health. Registration is by appointment, to be made at reception.
  • A priori no, because you have signed the contract informing your mutual insurance company and us that you are undergoing treatment at the Maison Médicale.
    However, there are exceptions:

    • If you are ill but on vacation or outside the Maison Médicale zone
    • You are ill at the weekend and call on the on-call medical service
    • You have received prior written agreement from a therapist at the medical center to receive treatment outside the center.
In these exceptional cases, you can return your treatment certificate to the medical center, rather than to your mutual insurance company. They will reimburse you.

On the other hand, for any consultation with a specialist doctor, dentist, psychologist or speech therapist, you can call on an external service and have it reimbursed by your mutual insurance company.
